Two weeks ago I heard something about you. I heard some people saying that you don’t want work. They said you always find an excuse to do nothing and declare yourself as a victim of society. You know, after analyzing what I heard about you, I came to this conclusion: Did you hear things such as “This child is too lazy!” or “This child never work!” when you were a child? The experts in the matter say that “children become what they hear about themselves.” In other words, what children learn during their childhood will impact their adulthood.
Therefore, dear “Lazy” friend, I say, yes, “you are a victim of society!” Because all those who call you lazy are denigrating your image and your self-esteem, as well. They think they are helping you, but in fact, they are “killing” you with words. However, you can change that! So, next time you hear people saying you’re lazy, don’t get angry or seek revenge, just smile! Then pray like Jesus: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do” - Luke 23:34.
Remember, you’re very special to God! He created you with great potential. You just need to believe in Him and in yourself! For this reason, don’t give up! You can still be a winner!!
A friendly hug,
Veronica R. Liriano
